The slip stitch (sl st) is one of the quickest stitches in crochet. It's often used as part of the fasten off technique to finish a round crochet piece.
HOW TO SLIP STITCH IN CROCHET (STEP-BY-STEP WITH PHOTOS)
 1. Insert the hook under the top loops of the nextstitch. |
 2. Yarn over. Pull the yarn through the stitch andloop on hook to draw up a loop. There should be one loop left on the hook. |
